Display here is a pair of Painted Cottage Louis XV bergere's, dated: late 19th Century. Gorgeous scroll cartouche crest continuing with decorative curve scallop motif on the shoulders, held by cabriole legs and terminating with scroll leaf feet, very unique and a “rare find”. Repainted in very light shade of green, originally they were black lacquered. Upholstered in satin damask antique white color fabric with subtle print, plump loose cushion and very comfortable chairs.
