Tunbridge ware 9" ruler of rosewood with walnut, birch, and other woods part of the geometric patterns within each inch.
The inlays are intact, no missing pieces. There is a nibble on the back along one edge and although the ruler has been French polished, the inlays can be felt by lightly running a finger across them.
A very handsome piece. My personal taste is for these mosaics rather than the flowers.
