It is very rare and hard to find.!!! It was published a short 37 years after the church was organized. This book is worth much more than the asking price, and will only continue to go up in value. What an amazing piece of Mormon history. There are many reprints of this book out there, but they don't hold the history that this book does. This particular 1200+ page Leather bound Book of Scriptures was transported by Wagon Train from the Salt Lake City Utah area in the early 1870's by the family Peterson to the Deer Lodge Valley in Montana. What a piece of history. Oh the stories this book could tell. To actually have made it from traveling to and from all these different places with the mormons is amazing.

For a book being over 140 years old, it is in great condition. Most books don't even last this long. The book is bound in beautiful brown full leather. The title page has a piece torn out of it, but the date and publishing information is not affected. There are some loose pages, and the binding is loose, pages are frayed and some have tears.
