SAU-001 meteorite
In general, stony meteorites are known for the presence of chondrules--small spheres of formerly melted minerals that have come together with other mineral matter to form a solid rock. The SAU001, an "L" class chondrite, has a low iron content (5 to 10% by weight).
The internal matrix of the SAU 001 is quite interesting. In addition to the well defined chondrules, iron / nickel flakes are also present.
Sorry my camera is not the best for taking close-ups.
You are bidding for 1 beautiful Stone SAU 001 METEORITE as seen in the photo.
This first Oman numbered meteorite would make a fine addition to any collection. This material is very solid, takes an excellent polish and displays nicely.
It's the first 001 numbered Oman meteorite in the SAU series.
