2 ANTIQUE LAMP bases. ORIENTAL design consisting of engraved dragons, birds, bugs, houses. Measure 13 1/2 inches tall and about 6 inches in width at largest point. Both have hollow metal pipe running though length and slot in base for electrical hookup. Color is red/burnt red. Wish I knew what the material was. I have a slight recollection of the words paper mache/papier mache associated with them, but not sure. Material is quite dense/pulp like. They are quite heavy weighing in at 6 1/2 pounds each. They do show wear but generally in very solid shape. No major defects or defacement. I have had these since the 1960's and they were very much antiques at that time. No dates or print markings can be found on either of them. Wish I knew more. Thanks for your interest.
