2 Antique VENETIAN "BLACK CHEVRON" GLASS BEADS "RARE"

Two lovely antique 5-layer "black" chevron Venetian made glass beads from the African trade, dating from the early 1900's more or less, the black color is actually a deep purple as I understand it, but is usually referred to as "black". The condition is mostly good, showing some age and wear overall, not quite a pair, about 16 to 19 mm in diameter and 28 to 29 mm (about 1-1/8 inches), through the stringing hole. The smaller bead has a small dimple or chip (?), as shown in the second picture. Please check the dimensions, all photographs have been enlarged, and may look larger than the size of the actual items.
