1. Install 2 IDE hard drives, access them separately with 1 USB connection.
 
2. Install 2 UNformatted IDE hard drives, set them in SPANNING mode, the 2 drives will show as 1 big volume by 1 USB connection.
 
3. Install 2 IDE devices (HDD or dvd/cd drive), access them separately with 2 USB connections (ALL-MASTER setup).
 
4. Install 1 IDE device (HDD or dvd/cd drive), and 1 SATA device (hard drive or dvd/cd drive), access them separately with 1 USB connection (for 2 HDDs, or 1 HDD + 1 Optical drive), or 2 USB's (for 1 IDE Optical drive + 1 SATA Optical drive).
