A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
These lovely miniature rugs were given by tobacco companies as premiums during the early 1900's. They are made of felt, printed with Indian rug patterns, and feature a central design of an Indian by a tipi. The designs have the Indian twirling log symbols which were a good luck symbol but resemble a Swastika so the design does not appear much after the 1930's or so. The designs are on both sides with equally nice color. These rugs are about 9" by 12". They are in excellent condition, hard to find in this larger size and condition, not faded or worn. They are great to display your Indian pottery on, and can also be used as doll house rugs or for doll displays. They also look nice framed. See our auctions for other tobacco felts.
