TWO BATIK PIECES IN THIS AUCTION; ONE LARGE ONE SMALL, ONE FRAMED ONE ON STRETCHERS ONLY; AS FOUND CONDITION. We found these two pieces in a local second hand shop and thought they deserved better exposure than a dark corner of the shop mixed in with paint by numbers and velvet paintings. The first is a small framed "Batik by Susan ...The Yellow Daisy," which may be the name of the art piece or the business heading. It measures nine and a quarter by seven and a quarter inches, and is nicely framed under glass. The second is a much larger batik (we believe), with a cultural theme, (we're not sure country of origin), 16.5 by 54.5 inches by .75 inches deep. It is signed on the bottom right corner with the initials "man-yk". We have included a graphic of this for you inspection. See graphics accompanying this auction. It is in good overall condition with no signs of wear or abuse, punctures or damage. It is tight on its stretchers. Due to shipping restrictions and size for world shipping, it may be necessary to have it removed from the stretchers for transit outside of North America. It could be re-stretched fairly inexpensively by a custom framer. Feel free to ask us for a shipping quotation and to discuss shipping restrictions, for example, overseas. It is an interesting piece and a faily big wall is needed to do it justice. We will ship in North America on the stretchers and overseas, removed from the stretchers, via Canada Post. There is NO handling fee. Exact postage only. See our other ebay auctions. Check out our ebay "Me" page for more information about the old books, vintage art, historic documents and general antiques we collect while out on our many cross region buying adventures, and in turn offer back our finds for the benefit of auction watchers. See our other online business and professional links. Good luck bidding.
