Last August, my Boy Scout Troop and I took a canoe trip down the White River near Whitehall, Michigan. The weather was very bad. It was raining all day and we were very cold. We had made plans to stay overnight rain or not. I knew it would be a rough go from here, due to foul weather.

My son and stepson went duck hunting in December. They were planning to float a creek in the afternoon with instructions to be home by 6:00pm, approximately thirty minutes after dark. However, they failed to return. The boys came out of the woods at 8am on Sunday and related their story;
