If additional protection is needed, I recommend adding half of a maxi pad which will pull urine away from the body. Also, adding a pad will save washing time. Belly bands are for male dogs who are marking your home. Great for potty training or for the leg lifter who marks his territory. Peace of mind when your dog is unsupervised in the house or visiting. My belly bands are hand made, high quality with extra thick batting for absorbancy. For maximum absorption protection, just add half of a Poise Ultra Plus Incontinent pad. Extra stitching along the sides of the band and in the middle prevent batting from shifting during wash (very important since batting will shift without extra stitching). Sturdy 2 inch wide velcro for adjustments and easy on and off. 3" long velcro on each end. Machine washable. To correctly measure your dog, measure around the waist in front of back legs. For band to fit comfortably, do not pull too tight or band will be too small. Consider an allowance for fur and pad. Please consider overlapping velcro when sizing your dog.
