This is a collection of two QSL cards. For those who don't know, a QSL card confirms either a two-way radiocommunication between two amateur radio stations or a one-way reception of a signal from an AM radio, FM radio, television or shortwave broadcasting station. They can also confirm the reception of a two-way radiocommunication by a third party listener. A typical QSL card is the same size and made from the same material as a typical postcard, and most are sent through the mail as such. One card was sent by Donald Fischer of NU2IS in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. It was dated and postmarked in May 1927. There is a (canceled) Thomas Jefferson 1 cent stamp directly printed on the back. This second card was sent by J.P. Jessup of W2GVZ of Ridgewood, New Jersey. There is a (canceled) George Washington 1 cent stamp on the back. The card was postmarked and dated in 1939. Both cards were sent to H. C. Pratt of WIEZ in Pownal, Vermont.
