Hi, I am a Chester County, PA folk artist and a second generation antique dealer. Since I am now painting full time, the antiques have taken a back seat. While I no longer have an antique shop, I still have a passion for old things! Often when I am out looking for interesting things to paint on, I find other great vintage treasures that I must bring home to share with you.
Monax is the name for this beautiful opalescent white colored glassware made by the MacBeth Evans glass company. The pattern is called Petalware. Check out the picture with the light behind the dish to see the fiery opal glow! This pattern dates to about 1930-1940.
There is some variation of color and size in this pattern due to the different thickness of glass in each item - The treatments for the bottoms of each item also may vary between plain and ringed.
This auction is for 2 Cereal Bowls with Ring bottoms
