2 Miles Labs booklets with ads Alka-Seltzer/Nervine+

This offering consists of 2 booklets put out by Miles Laboratories, Inc., Elkhart, Indiana..  There is no date on either of them, but from the dress and household furnishings, I would guess very late 30's or early 40's.

1) Modern Household Hints, 14 pages.  Has general hints; kitchen hints, etc.  Many ads for Alka Seltzer (says "a family standby for 40 years), Nervine and "Anti pain pills".  Condition:  Has age wear & starting to separate from stapled fastening.  Complete & fully legible.

2) Know Our Presidents, 14 pages.   Inside front cover is a cute ad for Alka - Seltzer with a donkey & an elephant saying "Upon this plant we both agree for national recovery"  talking about the presidential election of 1936.  Lists each president with picture and synopsis of their term(s).  Last one is Franklin D. Roosevelt's 2nd term and last mention is "in September 1939, war broke out between Germany and France and England."   Many ads for Alka-Seltzer, Nervine & the "Dr. Miles ant-pain pills".  Condition:  Fair.  It is "crumbly" around the edges, but the verbage is all legible.
