One of Usher's most popular drivers, the 8945A midwoofer is known for its ability to produce deep, solid bass combined with excellent midrange clarity. The 8945A features a rigid yet well-damped carbon fiber impregnated pulp-fiber cone, cast aluminum frame, long-throw 42mm voice coil, resonance-free rubber surround, and a Symmetrical Drive motor system which employs multiple copper Faraday rings and a symmetrically shaped pole piece for significantly lower distortion. This is one of the best all-around woofers for traditional 2-way bookshelf and compact floor-standing systems.
