Hello. We are located on the Naknek River, home of the largest salmon run in the world. We have collected thousands of glass floats that have washed upon the shores of many islands on the notorious west coast of the Aleutian Chain of Alaska. Most areas we have collected from were only accessible by bush planes. These Japanese Glass floats were used in the fishing industry to hold up nets above the water. They made their way over to Alaska by the Alaska-Japan current. These glass balls date back from 1910 when the Japanese first used them. They all have different markings and symbols from the various companies in Japan who manufactured these antiques over a hundred years ago.
In this auction, we are auctioning 2 Japanese glass fishing floats. They have a 10.5" circumference and are 3.5" in diameter. They are aqua green in color and have a lot of tiny air bubbles, a swirl on top, and a raised piece on the pontil. You have our guarantee that these glasses are flawless that they do not have cracks and these are the genuine real deal. Look at feedback score and you will feel rest assured. These items will ship out with free USPS Delivery Confirmation. These are highly valued pieces of history!
