These salad or bread and butter plates have the following on the bottom: LIDO--W. S. GEORGE--WHITE--MADE IN USA--298A--HAND DECORATED--ART CHINA CO.--EAST PALESTINE, O.--22 KARAT GOLD--L 504. It's the Lido shape, introduced in the 1930's, from the W. S. George Company, active from 1903 to around 1960. The plate is 6 5/8 inches in diameter. There is one spray of pink and yellow roses, pink flowers, and green leaves on one side of the plate extending into the middle. The outer rim of the saucer is trimmed in gold, 22 Karat, according to the markings on the bottom. It is a very pretty older vintage item and in good shape
