Here are a pair of old French fencing dualing swords, foil or epee, not sure...blades marked Coulaux & cie on one side and Klingenthal on the other. Pretty good condition for being old, possibly from 19th century. The Coulaux/Klingenthal alliance goes back to the 1700s when French King Louis XV commissioned the state to build a manufacturing facility for swords and weaponry. The Klingenthal factory was built in 1768. The Coulaux brothers assumed control of Klingenthal in 1801 until 1962. I have no idea what period these are from, but they are well made. Shipping is $12.
