Beautiful Antique Barbola Mirror

  I have to start off by saying this wall mirror is soooo gorgeous!  It has a lovely oval shape with outrageous barbola roses, buds and leaves surrounding the edges and a beautiful ribbon detail at the bottom. 

The roses on this are incredible.  They are the nicest that I have seen.  They are very high in relief and not the usual flatter style that you see.  VERY three dimensional!  The colors are shades of green, pink and yellow and have softened beautifully with age.

The mirror is in good estate condition.  Not for the perfectionist, this romantic beauty does have age related imperfections.  There is some chippiness to the flowers, leaves and ribbons, as well as some chips and paint flaking.  There is also the usual age related cracking to the gesso. 

These are all typical type imperfections for barbola pieces.  Upon inspection, I did see an old repair/restoration to the gesso...done very well.  You would only notice it if looking very closely.   Please see the 13th photo...the top cluster of leaves on left appears to be repaired/restored.  The actual mirror has the usual age related streaking and imperfections...nothing obtrusive.

For me, these imperfections only add to the incredible charm of this mirror and authenticate age!  The mirror is being sold in "as is" condition.

These antique barbola mirrors are highly collectible and this one is a beauty. This is beautiful piece that will be an asset to any existing barbola / roses collection or a wonderful piece to begin a collection with! 

The mirror is  20" high x 17 1/2" wide.

We will ship within 4 BUSINESS days of cleared payment.  If there is a handling fee it is for the insurance costs.  I try to always charge exact shipping (there are times when I may be off by a dollar or two).  I have no control of the prices that UPS or USPS charge, but I do try and ship the cheapest way possible. I also have no control over how long it takes to get to you once it leaves my hands. 

For international transactions: buyers will be responsible to pay duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees as required by country laws.  We will also not be responsible for any shipping delays due to customs or other overseas hold-ups.
