This is a set of 20 beautiful copper heart milagros (ALL DIFFERENT FROM ONE TO ANOTHER). This kind of milagros are made in a very traditional and the old way, they are produced all by hand and following the sand-casting process in some cases still by the old “Milagreros” and in some workshops that I have visited during years now the second and in some cases the third generation of “Milagreros” are producing them as had been instructed by their ancestors, they are not perfectly shaped, but that is what makes a milagro truly original and special!. Up to these days start getting so difficult to find them because now some of the “Milagreros” workshops are tending to produce them by some other faster and easier methods giving as a result a finished product with a reduced price. The material used is an alloy of different metals that gives them a nice looking shine and great texture!.

Milagros, also known as an ex-voto or dijes, are religious folk charms that are traditionally used for healing purposes and as votive offerings in Mexico and other areas of United States. In Spanish, the word milagro literally means miracle.
Milagros come in a variety of shapes and sizes and they might be nearly flat or fully three dimensional; and they can be made out of gold, silver, tin, lead.
As part of a religious ritual or an act of devotion, milagros can be offered to a symbol of a saint as a reminder of a petitioner's particular need, or in gratitude for a prayer answered. They are used to assist in focusing attention towards a specific ailment, based on the type of charm used. Milagro symbolism is not universal; a milagro of a body part, such as a heart might represent different ideas such as a heart condition, a romance, or any number of other interpretations. Milagros are also carried for protection and good luck!!.
Also milagros are often found as components in necklaces, earrings and other jewelry.
