 Gallery Mint was founded 15 years ago by master engraver Ron Landis and his late partner Joe Rust fifteen years ago in Eureka Springs AR.

Ron Landis created this coin in 1998 for consideration as the new "Golden Dollar". This coin is a full strike specimen and
2500 were produced for congress, members of the media, and numismatic museums, with a few left over for collectors.
The chosen design for the new dollar was the Sacagawea pattern which made it's debut in 2000.

As of October 2007, the gallery mint is no longer in operation.

This coin is 11.5mm in diameter and 3.5mm in thickness.

Because of government regulations, the reverse says "one concept" rather than "one dollar"
