Set Information
Upper Deck Prospect Premieres
This 109 card set was released in November, 2002. It was issued in four count packs which came 24 packs to a box and 20 boxes to a case with an SRP of $3 per pack. Cards number 61 through 85 feature game-worn jersey pieces and were inserted at a stated rate of one in 18 packs. Cards numbered 86 through 97 feature player's autographs and were issued at a stated rate of one in 18 packs. Cards numbered 98 through 109 feature tribute cards to recently retired superstars Cal Ripken and Mark McGwire along with Yankee great Joe DiMaggio. Matt Pender's basic XRC erroneously packed out picturing Curtis Granderson. A corrected version of the card was made available to collectors a few months after the product went live via a mail exchange program directly from Upper Deck.
