The Commando four seater is a favorite among hunters and people that need to haul two to four people plus cargo in rough terrain. The Commando 4x4 is a rugged fourwheel drive utility vehicle that was built with scaled down automotive components. This is not an ATV that was modified as a side by side vehicle. The axles are a large 1.086 inch diameter. The drive shafts are automotive size with u-joints, the front and rear differential housings are cast steel heavy duty units. The suspension is beefy 1.374 inch diameter tubing with grease zerks on all the pivot points. The long travel suspension has a rugged quality ride in rough terrain. The bottom plate and floor boards are steel not plastic, the rear dump beed is also steel. The removable receiver winch is standard equipment and is operated by a dash mounted switch. The four speed transaxle has a granny 1st. gear and a reverse. Because of the low gears top speed is 30-35 mph. The liquid cooled Isuzu 650cc two cylinder motor is powerful and dependable.It features a Stainless Steel Performance Muffler. It has an automotive style clutch and pressure plate, full sealed unit. The air box is located at seat height, a snorkel would be an easy to install extra. It features hydraulic four wheel disc brakes, plus a large drive line disc brake for parking or stopping on a hill. The rack and pinion steering is effortless, in 4wd it is hard to steer on the pavement but steers with ease in mud or loose dirt.
