Not only do students learn the technical structure of communication but they also gain insights about when certain words should be used by studying: Nouns, Pronouns, and Using Words Correctly Language Usage Structure of Language Mechanics and Structure of English Writing and Pronunciation SOS 7th Grade Language Arts centers students on writing with meaning and emphasis. Colorful, comprehensive subjects included are biographies, formal and informal English, and nonfiction literature. The amazing stories of The Hiding Place, a World War II story of faith, and the biography of Helen Keller are also part of the course.

Earth's Exciting Environment! Your students will think globally with SOS 7th Grade Science! Terrestrial topics are covered in a bright, eye-engaging format. This course will give your student a fun and functional science education by covering: Earth in Space, Parts I and II The Atmosphere Weather Climate The Human Anatomy, Parts I and II Combining both the study of the earth and scientists, SOS 7th Grade Science will give your student knowledge in a feel-good, individually progressive manner. Take the chore out of explaining those scientific terms with this automatic, convenient curriculum! Additional topics covered are perception, measurement, graphs, and a detailed, instructive look at body systems.

SOS is a computer-based program featuring 3-D animation and cutting edge multimedia. The stimulating multimedia and interactive format infuse the learning process with plenty of excitement.  Students finish lessons by completing various questions, activities, and quizzes, all through a CD-Rom program. Most of the grading is automatic so parents only have to grade subjective questions. Parents and students can leave messages for one another and parents may find their work cut in half with the record keeping and lesson planning features. SOS offers much flexibility so that you can customize learning to fit students’ educational needs. Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace, giving them the chance to master concepts before moving on to more challenging lessons. There are approximately 130 lessons per subject. Five core subjects — Bible, Language Arts, Math, History & Geography, and Science — are available for grades 3-12. A number of electives are also available such as Health, Spanish, and Consumer Math.
