Up for auction is this 2008 Taylor GA Custom 12 String acoustic guitar. It features:

  • AA-grade flamed walnut back, sides, top, and headstock overlay
  • Grand Auditorium body style
  • Expression System electronics
  • Green Heart abalone rosette
  • Flamed koa binding and back wedge
  • Ebony bridge and fretboard
  • Gold-plated Taylor tuners

Here is an ultra-rare 12 string from Taylor. This is basically a W64ce (an upgraded one), and since the Walnut series has been discontinued, this is quite a special guitar. Someone did a BTO (built to order) on this one and chose some pretty cool options. The AA-grade flamed walnut is probably the prettiest I've ever seen - I had no idea that Taylor still had this kind of walnut in their shop. You normally only see Green Heart abalone on Presentation series guitars, so its appearance on this guitar is gorgeous. I love how the flamed koa binding and back wedge look against the walnut. Understated and still classy at the same time. This guitar plays like butter and has a crystal-clear sound with lots of overtones and just the right amount of shimmer. You won't be disappointed with this one - it's everything you're imagining it to be. Comes with original hardshell case.

Cosmetically, this guitar has a small chip in the finish on the top left corner of the headstock. Otherwise, it's perfect.
