2008 W American Eagle Silver $1 PF70 MS70 ERROR 2 COINS
NGC MAKES 2 ERRORS!
Please see coins. Although my scan isn't very clear you can tell that NGC made a huge mistake on both these coins.
They mixed the PF70 WITH THE MS70. In other words, the pf70 coin is in fact an ms70 and vise versa.
These are extremely rare as they are perfect graded coins but slabbed wrong by world class grader NGC.
NGC GRADING PROCESS
"Graded and encapsulated coins are re-examined by a grader to make certain that their labels are correct for both the grade and its accompanying descriptive information. He also inspects each coin for any flaws on its holder, such as scuffs or nicks."
If this is true, then at least 2 seperate graders made this mistake which makes these even harder to come by.
When you go to NGC to view the coin certification, their website also has the classifications mixed.
