Here's what the US Mint Website has to say about these coins:
The Presidential $1 Coins are being introduced as a result of the Presidential Coin Act of 2005, which requires the United States Mint to mint and issue the dollar coins commemorating the former United States Presidents in the order in which they served.
These coins will feature larger, more dramatic artwork and each will have a reverse design featuring a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty.
These Presidential Dollars will be the same size, weight, and composed of the same metal composition as the Sacagawea Golden Dollar.
But these coins will be distinct from the Sacagawea Dollar. These coins will feature edge-incused inscriptions of the year of minting or issuance, "E Pluribus Unum," and the mint mark. "In God We Trust" appears on the face of the coin starting this year.
Due to the minting process used on the circulating coins, the edge-incused inscription positions will vary with each coin.
Your coins come inside a sonically sealed, hard plastic cases with a unique serial number and hologram!
