OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A WONDERFUL ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN CHARACTER BABY BY HERTEL, SCHWAB, AND CO. THIS ADORABLE CHARACTER BABY HAS PORCELAIN BISQUE SOLID DOME HEAD WITH BROWN GLASS STATIONARY SET EYES. IT HAS AN OPEN MOUTH WITH 4 PORCELAIN TEETH, ONE OF WHICH HAS A CRACK UP THE MIDDLE AS PICTURED. BABY'S BODY IS MADE OF COMPOSITION, HAS 5 PIECES, AND BENT BABY LEGS. ARMS ARE MORE WHITE THAN FLESH COLORED BODY. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS WAS ORIGINAL OR REPAINTED. THERE IS SOME FAIRLY NORMAL CRAZING TO BODY AS PICTURED. HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE IS 14". HEAD IS INCISED" MADE/IN/GERMANY/151/11. I SEE NO DAMAGE TO BISQUE HEAD, IT IS NICE CREAMY ANTIQUE BISQUE. THIS CHARACTER BABY WAS PRODUCED IN THE EARLY 1900'S. WONDERFUL ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. MAKES A LOVELY DISPLAY BABY.
