Lot 21315 ABS Sheets
This material is smooth on one side and wrinkle
finish on the other side. Texture is like a powder coat texture,
like a 1940's IBM typewriter, makes a nice
panel for electronics, gauges, instruments.
Can be thermal/heat formed.
Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene
a.k.a. ABS or poly-styrene
Nice material, easy to work with, material cuts easily
with a scroll or small band saw
we have use it for every thing from drawer dividers
to thermal forming some small parts boxes.
Mini-robots: one of our customer Eddy Wright thermal
forms these sheets into chassis for his robot creations.
We can't be more positive about this material, we have been using it
for about a year for a number of projects and it is no less than GREAT.
We have made everything from a wrist splint, to parts boxes. One customer
as excited as we are about possibilities said that they were using standard PVC
pipe cement to glue piece with good success, we have not tried this ourselves.
It sands, cuts, we have a small bandsaw and this works great, forming with
a standard heat gun is very easy, we suggest everyone gives this excellent material a try.
