Mobile  monopole designed as a base matched 5/8  wave. Impedance matching enclosed inside the base housing. Careful design allows excellent performance on a variety of NMO bases while maintaining VHF band gain in the amateur radio 1 ¼ meter band and 219-239 commercial band.
 
Motorola (NMO) base with insert-molded brass parts. Tuneable to near perfect 50 Ohms to provide a 1.1:1 SWR at center frequency, using a proper ground plane.   Excellent for commercial and amateur radio usage for years of use under tough conditions.
