Commercially available insects such as crickets and mealworms are generally an inadequate source of nutrition for reptiles and amphibians. These insects are deficient in vitamin, minerals and amino acids.

HerpCare’s Cricket Dust offers a high quality vitamin, mineral and amino acid supplement premixed with calcium in a quick, easy to use ultrafine powder. Cricket Dust may be used as a dust or as an insect feed supplement.

Ingredients: Precipitated Calcium Carbonate, Dried Kelp, Choline Bitartate, Ferrous Sulfate, Beta Carotene, Ascorbic Acid, Niacin, Manganous Oxide, Magnesium Oxide, Potassium Chloride, dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyrdoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Calcium Pantothenate, Zinc Oxide, Vitamin B12 Supplement, BHT (a preservative), Folic Acid, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (source of Vitamin K), Ethoxyquin (a preservative), Cholecalciferol (source of Vitamin D3), Vitamin A Acetate and Biotin.

Instructions: Read the enclosed Guide to Healthy Herps carefully before using. Place powder in a suitable container and add insects. Shake container until the insects are fully coated.  Uneaten insects will need to be recoated. Use at every feeding.

Insect Food Supplement (gut loading): Sprinkle Cricket Dust on finely chopped, mixed vegetables and offer to insects as food. These “gut-loaded” insects will then be nutritionally enhanced with vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
