Fine Nautical 24 Inch Ship's Wheel Porthole Mirror
This item is a new reproduction very detailed, high quality ship's wheel with porthole in center, the porthole has 9 in mirror, crafted in the old style from fine lacquered brass and hardwood. It is made with dowel pin construction just like the old ship's wheels, and features nicely finished hardwood, polished brass center hub, and has a handmade antique finish.
This wheel is genuine " Shisham Wood ", the wood, good, ship wheels have been made with for more than 100's years. Ask someone that reads the bible about this wood.
This is not something made with cheap soft wood for a quick cheap sale as you can see many times.
We do not guarantee it will be the exact color of the picture as wood vairies and we take a picture of the first one in the big box when they arrive from India.
Nice gift for the maritime enthusiast. Imagine the bigger versions of this same wheel construction being used to sail the trans-Atlantic ships of nautical legend! Would make an excellent addition to a nautical collection or theme - a great large item for a wall decoration.
This large detailed item measures approximately 24 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches thick ( 4in thick at porthole tightners ). Ready for mounting . Most are mounted by removing the screw into the wood at the hinge, drill thru the wood and use 1 screw long enough to reach to where you want to mount it. This gives a solid mount and nothing shows from the front. You can also hang it like a picture. If mounting on a boat use 3 screws, 1 at hinge, and 2 at the tightners.
