For your viewing pleasure I have an absolutely beautiful 25" Genuine Shirley Temple doll made by the Ideal company in the 1930's. Let's start from the top. This doll has a beautiful full thick original mohair wig with plenty of original curl left. It is found as is and has not been re curled or cleaned. As much as possible, I like to leave these dolls alone, and leave any repairs up to the new owner. Condition of the face: Beautiful, high color (is she a later Makeup Shirley?) I tend to think perhaps so because of the heavier treatment of the eye liner. Shirley has a large hairline/craze line going from her temple to bottom of chin. It is not lifting or does not split the composition. She also has another line going from ear to eye. These craze lines are not lifting. Shirley's eyes are a bit of a puzzle to me. First guess is that they're original to the doll. They are not blasted, and flirt beautifully. That being said...I have not sat next to this doll for 70 years, and don't know her history. Is she perhaps a Shirley that was made for the Canadian or European market? This is a good question for the experts! Here are the pictures, best idea I have is to judge for yourselves. If someone swapped out the eyes, they replaced them with perfect replacements from the same era. All lashes present on this beauty. I really love looking at the blue eyes, they give the doll a stunning look. Her body has the usual medium light crazing, she has a spot on her leg that has a crack, it looks to be stable, see pictures. I even have a few "in door" pictures so you can see the color and exceptional coloring on this amazing doll. I took a big load of pictures, so regard them carefully when you are done reading the description. This doll is coming with 2 outfits, both are reproductions. One outfit is the standard Shirley dress, the other is a reproduction of the Blue Bird dress. They're very cute and look nice on the doll. The pink outfit has a bit of stain in the back. Shirley is also coming with vintage not original shoes, and vintage socks. Her toes are all there, no repairs or glue backs. All in all this is an exceptional Shirley Temple doll ready for display or gift giving. She's strung nice and tight with newer elastic . Also, please get your questions in early, I'll be unavailable to answer questions for a time next Sunday. Do keep in mind this doll is very big, and will be more expensive to ship than your usual smaller dolls. Thanks for looking, Ebay friends!
