Reproductions of authentic American Indian designs from the Skullery

When I used to put these out on consignment locally, they retailed for $15. For some reason they just don't sell on eBay, it's the kind of item the customer has to see in person.

Each design has its own meaning, which is included printed on a little piece of cardstock in the gift box.

2 Turtle Shield - Gives the warrior in battle all the protective power of the turtle's shell

2 Lakota Wolf - The wolf stands above the hole in the earth from which he led the Lakota to the upper world

2 Camp Circle - Insignia of the warriors who assigned the campsites at the yearly Sioux gatherings

1 Chief Crazy Horse - Symbolizes the courage, wisdom and spirit of this Thunder Cult leader

The "shield" backing is made from polymer clay and measures about 2" across. The edges are laced with wire, or with waxed cord to give the appearance of leather or sinew.
The skull is cast metal coated with acrylic paint. The design is entirely hand-painted. The horns are ornamented with beads, and either real feathers or metal cones, disks or triangles. There is a loop of wire or cord on the back for hanging.
Each skull is nestled in colored tissue paper in a clear plastic box, and includes an explanation of the significance of the design.
Mini painted skulls are scaled for the dollhouse or room box, especially if your theme is Southwest.
Though it will be the same design, the shield, lacing, decorations, or tissue paper may vary from the photo here. Each mini painted skull is a unique hand-crafted item.
