The Tamron Autofocus 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical Autofocus zoom lens is perfect for "all-around" use. It provides the versatile 28mm wide to 80mm medium telephoto range that's ideal for shooting landscapes, group shots and portraits.

Designed with aspherical front lens elements, the total number of lens elements required has been reduced, resulting in an ultra-compact and lightweight design without compromising optical quality, perfect for travel. A excellent addition to any outfit.

 
Precision Design 0.25x Super Fisheye Lens


The term fish-eye was coined to refer to a lens capable of imaging an entire hemisphere; providing a circular view that a fish looking upward at the surface of the water might see. It should really be called a "fish view lens" since the eye of the fish probably is not responsible for what it sees as much as the fact that its eye is immersed in water. In any case, fisheye lenses achieve extremely wide angles of view by foregoing a rectilinear image to give fisheye images their characteristic convex appearance.

Don't confuse this .25X quality Precision Design optic with ".42X/.45X… Panoramic…Super Wide Angle… Semi Fisheye…Titanium… Crystal Optics" type lenses whose rear elements unscrew to be used as "macro" lenses. They can not even approach delivering a high quality 180 degree field of view.

The all-glass high resolution optics of the Precision Design .25x Super Fish Eye is manufactured in Japan and have been engineered to do one thing and do it well; reduce the focal length of a lens by .25X to provide an amazing fish eye view.

Depending on the camera model and lens it's mounted on, the image can cover the entire frame edge to edge or provide a circular image fully contained within the frame. Mounted to a zoom lens, the Precision Design .25X can often offer ultra wide angle, diagonal fisheye (full frame) and circular fisheye images. Close focusing is almost to the front of the optic and there's huge depth of field.

The .25X can be a great tool for real estate agents or for just having fun! If you plan on doing panoramic or full room shots, just stand your tripod in a corner facing the center of a room. It can capture almost EVERYTHING, floor to ceiling, wall to wall, except what is directly behind the camera. Just import the resulting image into a panoramic editor or "stitching program" (your digital camera probably came with one), convert it to a QuickTime VR file, and have a virtual view of the room.

The Precision Design .25X is the affordable fisheye optic for useful, unusual and fun pictures you otherwise wouldn't be able to obtain.

To achieve a Circular Fisheye image, the focal length of the camera's lens must be about 35mm or shorter (equivalent of 35mm film format). Otherwise, it may not make a complete Circular Fisheye image. Cameras with 4/3 type sensors can shoot a Circular Fisheye picture but not a Diagonal Fisheye image. It is recommended to take trial shots at various focal lengths to see the exact effect with your camera and lens combination.
