We have 250 pieces (13 different patterns) of Blue Ridge Pottery in our listings currently -- ALL from the SAME ESTATE! (see Provenance section, below). Please see our other auctions for more!   This auction is for:
A 27 Piece Set of the highly collectible and RARE Blue Ridge/Southern Potteries "Basketweave" Pattern, done on the very mid-century modernist Skyline forms. The set has the fully marked and bears the Lonesome Pine mark (shown in photo). Basketweave is one of the few patterns from Blue Ridge that did not contain flowers or fruit. This huge set consists of the following pieces:

6 - 10-1/2" Dinner Plates

8 - Tab Handled Bowls - 7-1/4" X 6-1/2" X 1-3/4" deep

3 - 5-1/2" Berry Bowls

6 - 6" Saucers

1 Cup (3-3/4")

Medium Platter 13-1/4" X 11-1/2"

Serving Bowl 9" in diameter X 2-1/2" Deep

Sugar bowl (no top) measures 5-1/2" handle to handle

Don't miss this opportunity -- finding this amount of this rare pattern of "Basketweave" at one time is remarkable! This highly prized pattern seldom comes on the market - we have never seen this much of this pattern all at once!
Age (ca.) c1950s

Condition If you are a Blue Ridge lover, you know that Blue Ridge is very soft and vulnerable to chipping - it's hard to find large amounts in one pattern that doesn't have a little ding here or there.   We have attempted to describe any issues in as much detail as possible. This set is virtually perfect! Of the 27 pieces there is only one minor imperfection -- 1 tab handled bowl has a really tiny fleabite.   All other pieces are free of issues. For Blue Ridge, that's fantastic condition!

Provenance This wonderful item comes to us from one of the greatest estate sales we've ever been to -- the home of a 91 year old woman and her 70 year old daughter. Both were inveterate collectors ... bordering on the obsessive! The home was packed with treasures. Each room had more than the last; each place we turned had another amazing thing but when we got to the basement, we had gone to "dish heaven". Well over a thousand dishes were piled on dozens of shelf units. Hundreds of pieces of Blue Ridge, English transferware, Mexican pottery, French faience and more were neatly boxed up, just begging to be used. We spent days sorting through it all and are happy to present you with the fantastic finds from this great estate.

I'm the winning bidder, What happens now? You will receive more than one email both from eBay and from Lennon Hall Antiques. The most important email will be your eBay invoice and you can click through on that to pay for your item. PayPal is our preferred payment method but we also accept checks or money orders (checks are held for clearance). Our mailing address will appear on your invoice and emails from us. We reserve the right to void the auction if we don't receive payment in 10 days.
SHIPPING DETAILS
- HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING? If this auction has calculated shipping, you can input your zip code above and find out your shipping price. If there is no calculated shipping option, that means this is a flat rate shipping priced auction and if you scroll down to the green area of the auction you'll find the shipping price (we're not hiding it; that's where it links to our auction service vendor).
- HOW will my item be shipped and HOW LONG will it take to get to me? Once you pay for your item (or your check clears), it will be packed for shipping. The method of shipping depends on the size of your purchase. Small items are sent via USPS Priority Mail within a day or two of your payment and should arrive in a few days. Medium size pieces (small pieces of furniture, etc.) are shipped by UPS; these items are generally custom boxed so they take a day or so longer to be shipped and typically arrive within a few days to a week. Large pieces of furniture are custom crated and shipped by our trucker, Arrow Express, using their door-to-door "white glove" service. Once the trucker picks up your item from us, it normally takes two to three weeks to arrive. However, many things can impact the time of a truck shipment so it can take as long as eight weeks, depending on your location.
- Can you ship my item any cheaper? We are working very hard to keep shipping costs down but both USPS and UPS have raised their rates and the price of gas has skyrocketed, so truckers are all charging surcharges. We do not use Greyhound or any of the cut-rate shippers. We always combine shipping to discount multiple item purchases.
- What about LOCAL (NY tri-state area) shipments? We always welcome pick ups and never charge for this service. Also, we have a local delivery service that can deliver up to five items for the same price, anywhere within the NY tri-state area. If you are local, please ask for a price quote for this very affordable service.
INSURANCE and DAMAGE HANDLING
- Will my item's shipment be insured? We always include insurance in your shipping price. Antiques and vintage items are vulnerable to any aggressive handling so it's important they always be insured when shipping.
- What if my item arrives damaged? We value our products and are as upset as you are if anything gets damaged! In the unlikely event that your item does get damaged in shipment, it is always fully insured and we will work with you every step of the way to recover this insurance. Please let us know immediately if an item is damaged in shipment and please make sure to retain all your packing material.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS
- I'm not in the U.S., how will my transaction be handled? We ship worldwide but we can only accept payment in U.S. Dollars. International payments must be made using PayPal. Sorry, we can no longer accept International Money Orders. If you are an international bidder and do not see the shipping calculator in the auction, please email for rates outside the U.S. Please note that international shipments can easily get lost or stolen so insurance is a MUST for international shipments. Further, in the event of a lost, stolen or damaged item, recovery of postal insurance can take up to one year. We cannot refund the cost of this item until we recover the cost from the carrier. Customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.
