However, Ebay's new "5 star" format is somehow misleading. Giving 4 stars is just as bad as giving a full blown negative feedback! Please keep in mind that only 5 stars is considered giving positive feedback. We normally ship your order within 2-4 business days (for new engines) upon receiving the payment by paypal. So please consider this as the preparation for shipping time not the transit time.

Note: We started this business to offer engines in “LIKE NEW” condition at a fraction of the cost of a new engine. We are now custom building engines to suit our customer’s needs. In the past we tried to have several engine types completed & available for immediate shipment. However the engines that were completed almost always required disassembly & customization to meet the customer’s requirements. It is for this reason we are no longer completing reconditioned engines. Our listings depict some of the typical engine types we have available but they are NOT completed & ready to ship the day you place the order. We can however offer reconditioned, custom built VERTICAL shaft Briggs & Kohler V-TWIN engines that are a suitable replacement for just about any type or configuration ever made. All of our engines are the larger 44 cubic inch (725cc) type or larger. In the case of the Briggs we can replace any V-Twin engine with a model number starting in “40” or “44” regardless of hp. In the case of Kohler we can offer a suitable replacement of any vertical shaft V-Twin engine from 18hp through 30hp (The Kohler V-Twin have the same external dimensions regardless of hp). We can also offer a solution when replacing the older Briggs or Kohler flat head opposed twin vertical shaft engines by using one of our V-Twin engines with some minor modifications. It is for this reason we ask that you please allow 7-10 business days to complete the engine you purchase from us. Due to heavy demand we now need about 14 days to prepare your engine for shipment. We can still ship the new engines we have listed within 2-3 business days if we have them in our inventory.
I have received comments about the shipping & handling costs. The selling price for the engine does "NOT" include our material costs for packaging the engine. These engines weigh about 90-100lbs, Shipping, Packaging & Handling is $95.00 in the lower 48 states this includes $38.00 worth of NEW packaging materials. Actual Typical shipping costs are average $60-$65.00 from FEDEX or UPS. Engine is shipped in NEW HD 22"x22"x22"carton with rigid foam packing & "INSTAFOAM" packaging to reduce the risk of shipping damage. Please allow up to 10 Business days to prepare & ship the engine.

Like New engine 1" X 3 5/32" or 1 1/8"x4 5/16" crankshaft. Please send me your Model &Type is so we can verify your shaft size before purchasing. The engine has been run on our test bench to insure there is nothing wrong & is in "LIKE NEW" Condition. It is a very sound great running engine. Will fit most AYP products with electric blade clutch. This includes Sears, Huskavarna, John Deere, Cub Cadet etc. Will replace Briggs, Kohler & Kawasaki V Twin engines from 20hp to 27hp if correct exhaust is used. We recommend Mobil One Synthetic 10W30 oil for all of our engines. Includes owners manual, new oil & fuel filters.
I check these engines thoroughly to make sure they are sound & in great working condition.
There is a model number, a type number & a serial number on these engines. We can give you a serial number for a specific engine, but if it is purchased by someone before you, you may receive an engine with a different serial number. I have several hundred engines, both Briggs & Kohler. When we recondition them. We tear them down, clean them thoroughly, hone & polish the cylinders, install new rings, gaskets, seals etc, clean the carb & replace the carb o-rings. We then assemble the engine using only OEM Briggs parts, Mount it on our test bench, Prime the oiling system & run it verify all is working properly.
As long as you use Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W30 oil & change it & the oil filter every 50 hours or once a year & check it every two hours of operation it should last well over a 1000hours.
Most engine failures I see are due to lack of maintenance including regular oil, oil filter & air filter changes or the use of poor quality oils.
Small air cooled engines run much warmer than automobile engines & regular oils break down quickly at these temperatures.
Good quality synthetic oils are made to withstand these extreme temperatures & extend the life of the engine greatly.
Guaranteed to run when received.. We now offer a 3 month exchage policy. Buyer pays shipping costs to return to us. Engines subject to our inspction to determne exhange acceptabil;ity. Engines showing obvious signs of abuse will not be exchanged. Shipping, Packaging & Handling is $95.00 in the lower 48 states. Engine is shipped in HD carton with foam packing & outside strapping to reduce the risk of shipping damage.
