 This is a nice piece of this unusual rough from Afghanistan.  The center is a ruby crystal and the outside is an unknown green mineral (I think it is zoisite).  I have cut a couple of these and they look really nice.  The piece is fairly well shaped and will cut a very nice and unusual gem.
