Highlights: We stayed at the Silverwoods units which are located (mostly) on the golf course. Some units face the rec center/playground. The units are very roomy and have 2 levels. There is a walkout covered deck/porch on each level, with a walkout off each bedroom. There is also a grill just outside the lower level. The unit has a fireplace and a full kitchen. The units are fairly modern and clean with updated appliances. They are located near a rec center where there is an indoor pool, playground and activity center. The surrounding area is heavily wooded and deer and other wildlife are frequently seen. It has 2 lakes nearby which are meticously maintained with white sandy beaches and lovely park areas.
There is also a country club with an outdoor pool and a wonderful restaurant. The 2 golf courses are also meticuously maintained and challenging to golf on. The layouts put nature first and twist and wind around it. There is a shopping center for most of your vacation needs, though you do have leave the community and travel to the downtown area of DuBois to do any serious grocery shopping. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Quick Tips/Suggestions: Try to do all of your grocery shopping in the beginning, as the small convenience store is not well stocked with "fresh foods" and it is about a 15 minute excursion out of the resort into the main town. But, because of the beautiful scenery there and back we didn't mind it very much.
The 2 lakes are far apart and a 10 minute drive, so pick one and take everything you need. But, the area again is so scenic and deer are always just out and about so we didn't really mind just driving around. Best Way to Get Around: This is a resort located on many acres of land so you will definitely need a car to enjoy all of the ammenities it has to offer. But, it is also great for hiking, biking, jogging, or just casually strolling around.
