This is a custom made long reach cable. There are 12 inches between the drive connectors for that situation where you need the longer distance, but only 24 inches length total. (It is always best to use the shortest possible cable) We do also carry a 36 inch cable with 24 inches to the first connector and 12 inches in between.

This UltraATA/133 IDE Cable is constructed using the highest quality conductors, connectors and insulation. It is capable of transferring data at rates of up to 133MB/s, the fastest parallel ATA standard used today. Compatible with ATA/133, ATA/100, ATA/66 and ATA/33 hard drives, this cable also works with ATAPI devices such as CD-ROMs, CD-RWs, DVD- ROMs, DVD±R, ZIP, Jaz, and other 40-pin IDE storage devices.
