Beautiful pieced silk windsock, or chukker, from Nepal. This is all handpieced and hand-sewn by a Tibetan refugee family who live next to the largest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Nepal. They also make our prayer flags. The windsock measures about 36 inches long plus the 5 inch long silky fringe, and 8 inches in diameter. It comes with a 7 inch long hanging loop, and is lined with red cotton fabric. The flat top is reinforced with cardboard, so we recommend that it not be out in the damp or in direct sun due to fabric fading. Each of the small bits of silk with beads are handsewn on, and are designed so that when the windsock spins in the breeze, the threads stand out from the side. Larger windsocks are hung in the temples. Please write with questions and bid with confidence; our folk art is always guaranteed. We are happy to combine on the shipping for multiple auction wins, by adding $2.00 per additional item after the most-expensive-to-ship item. Each item is carefully packed for secure shipping.
