The built in button cell will power the light for a long time, so you do not have to squeeze all the time when you use it, just squeeze it and use it.. When the button cell is low in capacity, change it easily (CR2032). Even without battery, the squeezing will make it work very well.

 The hand crank is released by sliding the rear catch to the back position. The flashlight is powered on or off by sliding the switch closest to the torch head either to the forward or rear positions
