3-Lamp Cool Daylight Fluorescent Lights 24 in. Softbox & Stand

This 3-Lamp Fluorescent Cool Daylight Lamphead is a cool (5,200K) flicker free light source primarily for use in digital still and scanning photography or video capture. The three highly efficient 28W fluorescent lamps provide the equivalent output of 420w tungsten light with no heat or UV output, meaning that this light set can be placed closer to the subject than incandescent or flash lighting.

This set is supplied with a 24 inch softbox with soft diffuser screen. With the white diffusing screen you get extremely softening effect. Or you may remove the screen to get more character lighting.

This makes it  easy to use and ideally suited for professional and semi-professional digital capture for desktop and internet publishing

Tungsten light has come around full circle. Years ago, the only studio light source was incandescent ligh bulb which produced a very warm light source. The bulbs were hot and prone to explode. The heat made the subject sweat and uncomfortable. Then there is the monolight which produces the proper color temperature. But monolight is expensive and most photographer prefer the what you see is what you get effect from continuous light source. Now, with this fluorescent technology, studio photographers get the best of both world. It has the right intensity, the right color temperature as well as the coolness, and most of all, the right price. This offers a tremendous value.
