What You'll Get
This item is 3 sets of Elixir Nanoweb Light Medium strings (13-56). If you're hoping to order from overseas, Gore prohibits their dealers from shipping internationally. Sorry about that.
About Elixir Strings
Elixir Strings are brought to you by W.L. Gore and Associates, an innovator in PTFE polymer (aka Teflon) coatings since 1958. If you're a skier and a hiker like me, you've probably used Gore-Tex coated clothing for years. Now, they turn this expertise to making polymer coatings for their Elixir guitar strings, and the results are striking. You don't have to spend long in any guitar-related discussion before someone eventually begins praising the long-lasting tone of these popular strings. It's this long-lasting tone that has led many major guitar manufacturers--including Taylor, Larrivée, and Goodall--to ship their guitars already strung with Elixir strings.
About Nanowebs
Nanowebs are the brighter version of Elixirs. Their coating is thinner than the PolyWeb coating, which gives it a tone closer to the out-of-the-box brightness of standard strings, as well as giving this style of Elixir strings a grip much more like uncoated strings.
About Shoreline Music
Shoreline was the world's original online music store—we're even older than eBay, where you're reading this description. We ship 40,000 orders a year, and we've been doing this for 14 years, so we know how to get your order to you quickly with a minimum of hassle.
| Domestic Shipping
Info |
| Shipping date |
All our orders ship within 1 business day. |
| Time in transit |
Our average delivery time for both First Class and Priority Mail is less than 3 business days after shipment (2.8 days as of June 2008). However, we recommend that you expect to wait about a week, just in case yours is that occasional package that takes a bit longer. Also, some of our heavier packages ship by Fedex Ground or UPS Ground, which can take up to a week. |
| International Shipping
Info |
| Shipping and other fees |
Our standard shipping method for overseas orders
is either USPS Express Mail International or USPS Priority Mail International. This costs around $20-$30 depending on the weight and size of the package. We don't use cheaper shipping methods because they
are not trackable, and nowhere near as fast as Express and Priority. Please
note that when you import goods from other countries, you will
likely be responsible for import duties and taxes. These import
duties and taxes are not included in the fee you pay us for shipping,
so be prepared to pay them when your package arrives. Please note
as well that it is illegal for us to misrepresent the nature or
value of our shipments, so we will ignore any requests to mark
your shipment as a "Gift". |
| Time in transit |
Our average delivery time by Express Mail International
is less than 6 days from the time of shipment (5.7 days as of June 2008). However, please keep in mind that
your local customs office may delay delivery by up to one week. |
| Special notice for Canadian customers |
Our standard method for shipments to Canada is First
Class Mail International. We use this because it's nearly as inexpensive
as shipping domestically, and it avoids the exorbitant brokerage
fees charged by FedEx and UPS. However, First Class is not trackable, and Canadian Customs will sometimes hang onto these packages for—no exaggeration—an extra
2-4 weeks. We also ship to Canada by Priority Mail International (about 8 days) and Express Mail International (about 4 days), so please consider carefully before
choosing the slower shipping. |
| FAQ |
| Is this product new? |
Yes. Everything we sell on eBay is new and unopened,
and ships with the complete retail packaging. |
| What is your return policy? |
You can read the details of our return policy on
our regular website at shorelinemusic.com. |
| Do you combine shipping? |
Yes. Our extra-unit shipping charges are normally
$1-$2 per item, depending on how much they add to the shipping
total. However, eBay does not always calculate this properly. The
easiest way to combine shipping is to use eBay's "Request total from seller"
feature when you're completing your purchase. We'll send you the
corrected total with the click of a button. (for quick instructions how to do this, click here)
|
| Do you ship to my country? How much does it cost? |
We ship worldwide. Shipping charges are detailed
in the shipping section at the bottom of every listing page. |
