Ever since my retirement from teaching I've had fun shopping for used books that I think children will like. Here's a terrific collection of top-quality picture books! Several of them have received the Caldecott Award for their wonderful illustrations! Quite a few of them were published by Scholastic. They are in good condition with normal wear. A few may be marked with a name or inscription. Many of them look almost brand new! The titles are:

- A Tree Is Nice by Janice May Udry and illustrated by Marc Simont (A Caldecott Medal-winner. Hardcover edition.)
- The Story About Ping by Marjorie Flack and illustrated by Kurt Wise (A wonderful book! Hardcover.)
- Six Dinner Sid by Inga Moore (Funny! "This tale of multiple mischief is as clever as the cat it features."--Publishers Weekly.)
- Tooth Fairy Magic by Joanne Barkan (This small book by Scholastic sparkles and glows in the dark.)
- Caps for Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina ("One of the most popular children's books ever written."--Children's Writer. A favorite of mine every since I was a child myself. Terrific!)
- Elvira by Margaret Shannon ("Outrageously funny."--The Horn Book, starred review.)
- Tumble Bumble by Felicia Bond ("Tumble Bumble exudes a pure sweetness."--The New York Times.)

- Duck for President by Doreen Cronin and illustrated by Betsy Lewin (Caldecott Honor-winning artist. This book is a small edition published by Cheerios.)
- The Silly Riddle Book illustrated by R.W. Alley (Kids will love this one!)
- Wetland Nature Search: A Hands-on Guide for Nature Sleuths (A large glossy-hardcover edition. A Joshua Morris book with a cover price of $14.00. The magnifying glass is missing.)
- The Little Engine That Could Storybook Treasury based on the original story by Watty Piper (This thick glossy-hardcover edition contains seven of the most popular stories. Published by Platt & Munk. Cover price: $10.99.)
- Boomer Goes to School by Constance W. McGeorge (A Trumpet Cloub edition. Sweet.)
