Frisby FS-5015, 5.1 surround sound speaker system is compatible with all analog stereo and multi-channel sound card, all PC models and Laptops. However, it is required to have 4 channel, or 5.1 sound card or higher in your computer o enjoy with surround sound. An image of 5.1 sound card is shown below.

For TV, you need a tuner or a receiver or a DVD player that has three channel audio input to enjoy with surround sound. TVs has only one audio input and one audio input can not generate surround sound, thus you will need either a DVD player or a tuner that has Left/Right/Center audio inputs and connection will be from speakers to the woofer, from woofer to the tuner/DVD player and to the TV.
