As
you can see, these great lamps come complete; the carry handle
makes moving and aiming it easy, the built-in barndoors and softbox

light wherever you want!
When
using these digitally-light-balanced lights with regular film
cameras (35mm, APS, medium format, etc.), simply use 3200k film
(or a common and inexpensive 3200k filter) for perfect color
rendition. If you're shooting black and white film, you don't

don't confuse this equipment with the "workshop"
and "garage" lights and kits being sold online by so
many others. These lamps are Photographic quality lights
with color-corrected quartz-halogen bulbs, perfectly color-balanced
for accurate color rendition for digital cameras, video cameras,
and movie cameras. These are NOT the common, "screw-in"
type bulbs with cheap, garage-quality reflectors (and shoddy
light stands) that are being passed off on unsuspecting buyers
lately! Remember, folks, there's virtually nothing for
sale nowadays that someone couldn't make a little cheaper, using
lower quality materials, less reliable components, poorer manufacturing
processes, and unskilled workers. The less that a seller
tells you about an item being sold, the more careful you need
to be before spending your hard-earned money. Those of us who
make our purchasing decisions based solely
upon price are this unscrupulous person's legitimate prey. For
goodness sakes, don't pay a cent more than you have to for

Here's

Brand New
2.8 to 7.5 Foot Light stands

These
are truly excellent quality, heavy-duty light stands. This Brand
New Britek light stand extends to a height of 7 1/2 Feet, and
folds down (fully assembled) to under 3 feet for easy packing
and transport.
These stands have a black
finish which reduces unwanted glare; three vertical sections
(19mm, 16mm, 13mm), and three double-braced legs (16mm), which
provide excellent stability in the studio or on location. They're
topped with a standard 3/8" stud with 1/4" thread,
type A. Sturdy as all get out, yet only weigh about 4 lbs. (so
you can pack up a set of three stands for around 12 lbs. for
location shoots - believe me, schlepping around anything heavier
can give you a hernia, especially when added to all your other
gear). Yet these babies can be folded up and put in the corner
of your closet and take up very little space. For beginners,
these are LIGHT stands, NOT tripods. A tripod is designed to
hold a camera; a light stand is designed to hold - guess what?
- a LIGHT. There's a reason for this, and I won't go into any
more detail here, but trust me, it's what you need for holding
lights in a lighting studio.
I've been using these same stands for over 9 years now, and couldn't
be happier! You'll probably love 'em, too. They're sized perfectly
for multiple uses: with a low height of under 4 feet, they're
great for background lighting; at their full 7.5 feet, they're
perfect for lighting standing subjects, lighting from above or
sitting subjects, or even hairlights; and adjusting them anywhere
in-between, they're perfect for subject-level lighting, whether
you're photographing kids or adults (or things)! BTW, as stated
herein, you'll be buying brand new light stands here, NOT my

What is a
"ChromaKey Background?"
A chromakey backdrop
is a solid-color backdrop of a special color tone that makes
it easy to select just the background or just the subject of
your image in order to isolate your subject and make the background
"disappear," or to easily "pluck" your subject
out of the image Why do we want to do that? Because in today's
age of computers and digital photography and digital videography
and movie making, we often want to make it look like our subject
is in a place or location other than they really are. Other times,
we may want a deep, solid black background or a pure, totally
white background (without having to arrange special lighting
setups and determine and use arcane camera settings to achieve
this optically). This technique is equally useful for moviemaking,
portraiture, and product photography (among others).
Just imagine the possibilities! A
client's child, holding a basketball and standing on the court
next to Shaq! Or maybe a girl in a bikini on a beautiful beach
in Hawaii at the golden moment of sunset. Or a diamond ring "floating"
in the air in front of the Milky Way, or an automobile on top
of a fabulous mesa in America's most beautiful National Parks.
Or an newbborn infant asleep in her father's hands with a solid
black background showing only the hands and the baby magically
suspended in a magnificent image. With these fabulous backdrops,
the only limit to what you can accomplish is your own imagination.
When you go to the movies and
see Spiderman or CatWoman (or, for the more mature among us,
Superman or Batman:), soaring over Metropolis or Gotham City,
and bouncing from skyscraper to skyscraper, in reality, they
are NOT "flying" above the city, but the SuperHero
is attached to wires (of the same green color as the chromakey
green background), soaring in front of a "green screen"
ChromaKey Background in a studio's sound stage! Then, the digital
artists delete the green chromakey backgrounds and the wires
holding the actors (on their computers), and then dropping in
image of a cityscape (or black, white, or any other conceivable
background image or color)! All the major studios use this technique
(as well as using special cameras that are "blind"
to certain colors), and there's no reason why we can't do so
as well!

Point of Information:
BTW (btw means "by
the way" for any "newbies" paying us a visit),
a "Reflection" umbrella is one that reflects the light
back onto the subject, and thereby softens and diffuses the light.
This technique is often used in portraits, for delicate items,
and for photographing reflective surfaces, and performs many
beneficial services for all us hard-working, and under-appreciated
photographic artists. Keep it a secret from others, though, and
let them think we get our beautiful images through some sort
of secret and esoteric magic, passed down through the centuries,
from master to disciple. It helps increase our value ;-) - and
please don't send me any e-mail explaining that photography hasn't
been around for centuries, I know that. Duh. Actually, photography
(in one form or another) has been around for about 150 years.

WHITE/BLACK REFLECTION
UMBRELLA
The White/Black umbrella is made
of the new P-Satin clothes-PU bonding with high denier Satin.
Their Black cover can achieve almost 100% light reflection rate
and provide soft almost shadowless light, which is suitable for
indirect and diffusive lighting. A wonderful method of softening
the light. You get one Black/White Umbrellas with this fantastic

for the lights you'll be using with them!
Technique:
Photographers use these umbrellas
and softboxes to diffuse and soften light; in portraits, for
example, this soft lighting very effectively hides many of the

:), making them look younger and more vital. It's also great
for photographing highly reflective surfaces, such as jewelry,
glass, and chrome (it avoids the bright reflections that mess

just accept their appreciation (along with your quickly-escalating
fees), and let them believe it was your phenomenal photographic
skill that made them (or their products) look so damn good!
Look, you're spending a lot of time and money acquiring the
equipment, and learning the skills of the photo/video/graphic
arts; you're becoming a skilled professional; your work is valuable
as well as beautiful. Don't price yourself out of the market,
certainly, but don't sell yourself cheap, either.

· First, Thank You for your time and interest,
and thanks for viewing my auctions; I'll always do my best to
deserve your business and your confidence by being as fair and
honorable as possible. Now on to the details:
· All payments must be in US dollars, and
all checks drawn on a US bank.
· All orders from Canada, Puerto Rico,
Alaska, Hawaii, and any other countries MUST include your phone
number, or it cannot be shipped.
· Orders from Puerto Rico, Alaska, and
Hawaii can ONLY be shipped via UPS Second Day Air or Next Day
Air, so be sure to include the appropriate shipping charges or
your order will be delayed. Shipping charges for APO and FPO
addresses will be substantially higher than those listed. Please
e-mail me for a shipping quote.
· While personal and business checks are
welcome, it will delay shipment of your order by 5-12 BUSINESS
days.
· Lots of local folks ask about visiting
my store, or picking up their order personally; this won't work
because I don't have a store (that's how I can sell this brand
new equipment for such low prices - I don't have to support an
expensive retail store and a bunch of employees), and the warehouse
does not allow individual pickups (it's not in Los Angeles anyway).
· While I don't ship to foreign countries
(outside of Canada), if you arrange for an international freight
carrier to pick up of your order, I'll be glad to pack it up
and have it waiting for pickup by your shipping company.
· Being human (yeah, believe it or not),
I might even make a mistake (yes, as hard as it may be to believe,
I actually did make a mistake once - I think it was back in '80s
:), and if I ever do again, I'll make it right just as soon as
I realize it; so please don't hesitate to let me know if I mess
up somewhere - I'll do whatever it takes to make you a happy

and "Where to go to find" setup instructions for your
new purchase, and similar words. And now many e-mail message
with any links in them will cause it to be blocked as well (and
I always give my customers links to important pages on my web
site like instructions on how to set up the equipment, and links
to free photographic tips and educational material. So if you
want to communicate with me, please UNBLOCK MY E-MAIL ADDRESS
NOW! Thanks for understanding.
ALERT:
Please understand, I do not have the time
to reply to automatic e-mail messages sent by a computer
asking me to open a web browser, then follow a link to a web
page where I must enter my email address yet again, re-enter
my name, enter a message explaining why you should allow my e-mail
to reach you, and copy an arcane security code into a form just
so my e-mails can reach you! I invest a lot of time and effort
to keep you updated on your order, and answering your questions.
I have thousands of customers, and if I have to go through all
