30x78 Antique Entry Door Beveled w/Cut Glass & Hardware

Lovely antique door salvaged from Central Pennsylvania. The door is made of solid heartpine (not white pine) and has 2 vertical, raised panels and an arched beveled glass lite. There is a beautiful, cut, starburst motif in the center of the glass. On the front side of the door, there is a fantastic, stepped, arched ledge above the glass--notice the 2 leaf appliques (onlays) figuratively dangling from the corners of the ledge. Directly below the glass is a straight ledge with curved corbels and dental molding.

Hardware: The door comes fully equipped with hardware: entry set, 3 hinges, and a mail door and cover. The entry set is made of nickel-plated brass and consists of: 1 handle, 1 knob, 1 rosette, 1 thumb turn, 1 cylinder lock with escutcheon, and 1 mortise lock.

The hardware has been left "as found", but we could remove the paint, and then clean and polish each part--email us for a quote.

If you would prefer any, or all of the hardware removed; we could remove it and then plug the holes with a solid block of wood--email us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in very good shape with only a few scrapes, scratches, and 3 small cracks located directly under the middle rail (see 2nd to last photo). On the back side of the door; near the upper left and right corners and the lower left and right corners of the window are small mounds from poorly patched holes (see last photos). Those holes were most likely made from the original curtain hardware installation. If you plan on stripping and refinishing, or repainting the door, those mounds will sand evenly to the door's surface.

Although the glass looks cracked in the photos taken outside, the glass is fully intact with no breaks, cracks, or chips (see the second photo under "Glass" , which was taken indoors).

The hardware is in great condition and operates very well.

Modification: We didn't strip the door incase you like it as is, or if you would like to have it repainted. However, we could strip (fully or partially if you plan to paint it), refinish or repaint, reduce or increase height or width, remove hardware and patch holes, etc. We could also build a frame for the door, make casing, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done and we'll give you a quote.
