4 1886 PRINTS GUSTAV BROCK KING & MILITARY MEN

TODAYS ITEM FOR AUCTION IS: a grouping of four original prints. They are all by Gustav Brock fine Danish artist of the period. All are dated 1886. None of the prints are titled. Each is in a matte of a later date. The print is mounted on an original back paper with names of publishers. 1. Group of horsemen led by King Christian IX of Denmark. Has some foxing in the print, also the top corners are weak due to the adhesive used to connect to the back paper. 2. Shows members of the Danish Navy on deck. Nice illustration of uniforms. The print of this one is a bit better, the corners are still weak and back paper has staining. 3. scene in a military compound, soldiers clean and inspect weapons, The King appears in the center. Has some bleed through stain, corners weak at top. 4. shows military presence near a windmill, horseback, running and other positions. Detailed uniforms. This one is the best of the four. Attached at upper corners. If these were mine, I would safely remove the main print from the paper backing by steam or some other method and have them professionally matted and framed.
