This charming mint "alien-head"
is signed “S. Smith 5/27/65” on his beautifully smooth hand-carved
fully jointed body. Sherman Smith carved the body with mortise & tenon
joints at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. He utilized an antique
German china head to make this copy of an antique alien-head German
peg wooden from the 1840s – this rare head originally came on a wooden
body as seen in the extra cuts of the back shoulders. His joints are
incredibly smooth and working perfectly. Lower arms are painted cream,
and his lower legs are painted white for stockings with painted black
slippers. This tiny gentleman is not dressed – his body being too
wonderfully made to cover! He is very sweet and needs a furnished
roombox or scene!!
If you live in the US the
shipping and handling will be $10.00. Insurance extra, $1.00 per
hundred.

program available with terms of 1/3rd down and the balance is due in 30
days for items over $200.00.
